Here the machine is milling a pair of rotor blades for an Align T-Rex out of oak. The 3D model was made in Discreet Plasma and then exported as a .WRL into Vectric Cut3D where the G-codes were made.

  • It's very good for wood work, but very limited for metal work because it doesn't have any for of ramping, so the tool will have to be capable of plunging.

  • Hi,

Did you get good results with these blades ? Was it simetrical or flat botton ?

What kind of wood did you use ?

I am also trying to make a set of blades for my HBFP on my CNC. But since i am new to 3D milling , i´m having a little dificult to design and mill the angle of attack.

  • These are semi-symmetrical, reflexed blades. they give a lot of lift. Play with lofting in the 3D CAD software and you'll get it working in the end. there are probably video tutorials for your CAD software on Youtube.
