@GlenVerdugo Yes, they only had one, and it lacked MU cables, so it was always located at the end of the locomotive consist. BN operated theirs mid-consist, as they had MU connections. Otherwise, nicely done - subscribed!

@MPetrishen Yes you are right - found that fact out some time after I published the video. Still thinks it makes for a visually nice consist. If you have any leads on photos or data on how they ran SP 700 I'd be interested in seeing it.
Thanks for visitng our webpage!

@GlenVerdugo Yes, sp 700 but it was placed at the rear of the consist to prevent damage to the car by buckling from the locomotives. SP modefied 5 GP40's to pull it (4 Cotton Belt's and one Southern Pacific)

Boy from this video I now realize that those Athearn people make a GREAT sound system!

good job
Nice realistic scenery. No excess structural clutter. The slant or angle of the turn makes it look real. Most turns on layouts are not slanted. However, why the tanker between the two lead units???

Southern Pacific experimented briefly with a fuel tender to save on fuel costs and expand their range. I believe they only had one.
Thanks for the views and comments
