......but the final scene is still AMAZING as well as the performance by Natalie. GREAT MOVIE. 8.5/10

........also, although the horror moments were cool, I didn't feel they completely fit or made sense. what do they have to do with her mental breakdown? and I thought it was brilliant and shocking when she realized she "killed" Mila's character and then returned to finish the dance, but then we find out she really stabbed herself and it's like a double whammy, like they were trying too hard to show that she was insane......

I agree with you that there should have been more explanation for what it means to her and less obvious imagery in the beginning. the hints of her mental deterioration begin early on in the movie (where she sees her doppleganger in the alley) and I wish they would have set it up more and showed her normalcy before the pressure of getting the Swan Queen role. i wouldn't have minded another 20-25 minutes of exposition.......

@omphenom ....that the killer WAS never found, and that it becomes a film more about obsession than a traditional police procedural is inherently limiting to the kind of drama possible. It drags a little bit, and doesn't climax so much as twist and turn, and end. Which, I suppose, is all more true to real life, but it still left me feeling lacking something.

@omphenom I was just a little disappointed with it, mainly I had pretty huge expectations going in. It was David Fincher's first movies since Panic Room, a full 5 years previous. He had been working on it and working on it and working on it, and reports going in was that it was going to be his masterpiece. I thought it was definitely pretty good, but it fell short of "masterpiece" status. The acting was top notch all around, ESPECIALLY Robert Downy Jr, but I think the very nature of the story...

THANK you!!!!!! I have been the only person saying "Eh, well, it was good, but done so many times before." It was like an A+ student writing a B paper. And YES, I totally didn't believe her mental breakdown, the MEANING of her breakdown. I didn't believe it like I did for the main character in "Pi".

I didn't think Black Swan was that great. Its mainly the scene where she goes crazy and makes out with Mila that I didn't like Maybe its cause I'm a heterosexual, and didn't approve of all that, still an okay movie though. The transformations were scary and gripping, and the story kept me watching. I'd probably give it a 7/10.

I saw the Wrestler with my dad in theatres. The lap dance scenes made me feel incredibly uncomfortable.
