Fleet Air Power Demo (Saturday)

A main attraction to the Oceana airshow is the Fleet Airpower demo which showcases frontline Navy aircraft simulating bombing runs on a target. Roaring afterburners and concussive pyrotechnics combined with fighter jets swarming you from all sides make this a challenging event to film and present as it is best seen and felt live.
The participating squadrons are VFA-106 Gladiators, VFA-11 Red Rippers, VFA-34 Blue Blasters, VFA-87 Golden Warriors (War Party) and VF-31 Tomcatters.
After taking off and going to form up, the fleet returns for a flyover dedicated to those lost on 9/11, and then the action begins with a sneak pass from the Super Hornet. What follows is a series of strafe runs, landings and taxi shots as the pilots wave to the fans.

Damn... badass sneak pass. At the end of the Rhino demo a few weeks ago, he came by for a sneak pass and cut the corner of the ramp - right over my fucking head, and I didn't see him coming at all. Almost dropped my camera on that one.
