Atara/Birzeit checkpoint

The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that the Atara/Birzeit checkpoint was removed, but in actuality the checkpoint still operates occasionally. On Jul 12 2009 a minibus loaded with passengers arrived at the checkpoint at 3:15 PM, the passengers were allowed to continue on their way only five hours later, during which they suffered a long series of maltreatments by the soldiers.

The soldiers had completed all the relevant checks, detaining the man for hour after hour did absolutely nothing... did it? innocent people on both sides are existing in a state of constant fear and turmoil...governments on both sides could not give a damn about either Jews or Arabs dieing...the whole system is corrupt and supported by western money and power... Both Jews and Palestinians will continue to die while...
