good video! but the whole thing was just creepy to me...all that deep water, and those drains....that is always the first thing I look for in ANY pool or spa, and will not go in them....how can you swim down by the drains without being afraid? I have been terrified of them since I was a little kid...

I have a fear of deep water ;____;

@LakeNipissing Official olympic pools are a minimum of about 7 feet deep in the lap section (ie no shallow end)
-
@minkyblack nah. usually there in the middle. or at least from what ive seen:)

@Corvette35000 lol nope, many are afraid of those things..i'm also afraid of the black lane lines on the bottoms of pools..a lot of times they hide the drains on them..

@minkyblack ikr soo true! :D im not alone!
0:50 why is there a random pole underwater?

@ingitvoninglesworth Not random. The pole is there to support the buoy lines which meet at that point to separate the shallow area, the lap swimming area and the diving well.

@77thAirsoftTeam Where is that deep pool? I thought I've heard about such a deep pool somewhere in Quebec!

is that an olympic pool? at the very end of the video, is that a boat in water?
EPISLON120 8 months ago
@EPISLON120 Olympic-length for sure. Might not qualify as official because the depth changes from 3 FT to 5 FT in half of the swiming lanes, and from 3 FT to 9 FT (or more) in the other half.
I'm puzzled about the boat comment. At the end of the video, I raised the camera above the surface of the water. The blue and yellow building which is briefly seen in the distance is a baseball stadium.
