@rockinjac You know, I've heard Bob Dylan's song "Forever Young" and although the lyrics are somewhat similar, I don't think they sound alike musically. If you want sue someone for song lyrics, I've got a list of 10 top pop singers today you can look into....

MY SISTER-IN-LAW CATHY LOVED ROD. SHE ATTENDED ALOT OF HIS CONCERTS. IT SADDENS ME TO WRITE THAT SHE DIED AT THE OF 37 YRS. DUE TO CANCER. EVERYTIME I HERE ROD SING IT MAKES ME EMOTIONAL. THE ONE THIG THAT MAKES ME LAUGH IS THAT SHE WOULD SAY "HE HAS CUTE BUNS!" I AM SO GLAD THAT SHE ATTENDED ALOT OF HIS CONCERTS AND HE MADE HER EUPHORIC!!! GOD BLESS ROD.

I dedicated this song to my son the first time I ever heard it. I printed out the lyrics, framed them and hung them for him to read every day. He died at the age of 19.

@rockinjac Actually, this song is considered a re-write of the Bob Dylan song since it was such a blatant rip-off of the original (similar melody, many of the same lyrics, and even the same title to top it off). Rod Stewart has to share all royalties from this song with Bob Dylan (who is also credited as one of the writers).

@whydontyoushootme this is what wiki says about this song, "Forever Young" is the second single released by Rod Stewart from his Out of Order album in 1988. The song was a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #12.
The song is a re-write of a Bob Dylan song of the same title. Stewart agreed to share his royalties with Dylan.
Rod Stewart recorded a more mellow version of the song for his 1996 compilation album If We Fall in Love Tonight.
