The 2nd annual Greenhills Mayfest was held on Memorial Day weekend behind the Greenhills Shopping Center, a location that many long-time Greenhills residents will remember as the original site of the village's annual summer festival (it was moved up to the grassy public "Commons" area just south of the shopping center in the 60's). Only in it's second year, Greenhills Mayfest has been widely supported by the community and by area businesses (Riley's restaurants, Chicago Joe's restaurant, Kissel Bros amusements) who participated with booths or who donated supplies. The event depicted in part 1 of this video is the "Great Green Goose Chase", a scavenger hunt that takes teams throughout the village and surrounding parks in search of answers to Greenhills trivia questions and to complete physical challenges (pitching softballs, putting golfballs, bowling, etc). in an effort to score the highest and win the "Great Green Goose" trophy to be displayed in the winner's yard until next year. Subsequent parts of this video will cover the "Best Burger Cook-off", the abundant live music and even a very special surprise wedding that took place on Saturday night live on stage!
