@Hodgarth Yes,they actually did go to 72 meters, but because of the pressure at that depth,it was not for very long as in alot of tec diving while going deep most of the dive is ascending decompression.did you notice the stage bottles on these guys hips?Well the terrain shows them actually decompressing at 40 meters and less ok when they edited the video, the notox gas switches were omited.

Yes, they did go to 72 meters but not for very long due to fast gas consumption with the trimix and the compression at that depth (wer'e talking 8.2 ata on your body) where at the surface it's 1 ata.Believe it or not, when tec divers go deep, most of the time they are decompressing while slowly descending back to the surface than being at the bottom,You do not want to kill yourself),there's alot of science involved.

Are you absolutely, absolutely sure that you actually went to 72 metres? The terrain shown in this video clip appears to be at 40 metres or less. The terrain looks very different beyond 60 metres. How narked were you and your chums when this video clip was recorded?

A very good watch ,you guys are very brave,me and my hubby are just about to do our deep at stoney, but a question, how long did you spend at 72 metres while making the film/?

Why does this require fearlessness? Divers do 80m at the NDC all the time. The fact that its sheltered, has excellent viz, a shot line and a wall up from 80m are all good reasons for classing it as an EASY 80m dive as opposed to Korryvreckan or any UK wreck dive. The only neg is that its consistently less than 10 degrees from around 20m downwards due to the steepness of the quarry walls. If you feel nervy doing this kind of trimix RB dive then that's probably not a good sign.

you're not being serious are you? diving is easy, but it's when the shit hits the fan is when comes into play. i also can't believe that o2 mod and off gassing can be learnt on the fly!

Not when you have a torch down there, it's sunlight that distorts colours at depth as it parts of the light spectrum that gets filtered out, that's why it's difficult to see the colour red. But using a torch eliminates this problems.

I'm from chepstow - thought i'd just say that as i am really sad and have nothing better to do with my time :) lol
