  • This is a fantastic clip, thanks for posting mattypark. You have some great videos!

  • Thanks-you have good taste in music!

  • Thank you! This is great. Some people don't like the Style Council but as a huge Weller/Jam fan I can say they have some stunning moments. 5/5

  • TSC were a maddening mixture of the sublime and the slightly ridiculous at times.Keep your eyes open for some more rare clips soon.Cheers for the comment.

  • thank god !! paul and the band aren't lip-synching !! a rare TSC TV moment indeed !!

  • I,ve waited years for this version to be uploaded. I recorded when it was originally broadcast in 83. I love the Double bass on what is a beautiful song. My wife & I love this tune as it brings back memories of just playing great tunes when there was nothing on T.V. Thanks G Miller.

  • ohh great song i like much paul weller

  • when I went to Paris, I made sure that this would become the trip's soundtrack. I love you, Maria!

  • I've never understood why this song has never been covered, as it has 'classic' written all over it. Possibly because more artists aren't aware of it.

  • absolue class....this song is genious in my humble opinion!

  • I always preferred the Tracey Thorn/Style Council version, but..this one is amazing with Paul on vocals

  • Sans doute une des plus belles mélodies Pop de ces années 80... Trop peu connu...On peut s'étonner d'ailleurs qu'il n'y ait pas eu de reprise de ce titre.

  • @StepmothersTeeth The Style Council is what Paul Weller constructed of them coming from the Jam and having his father behind him as a manager. Paul Weller has always been very innovative looking abroad for different music styles. Often wrapped political and human issues into his songs. A huge musical talent I would say to this day.
