A closer look at the key external features of an unmolested late 40s Lister D type stationary engine. The engine is essentially unrestored and still resplendent in all its oily, rusty glory - a look which only age can create!

This might prove useful to anyone who has an incomplete or badly restored 'D' which they're trying to put right.

  • great little engine, she runs a treat, nice to see one in its working clothes.

  • Hi, many thanks for great video!

When I purchased my "D" it was messily painted including float chamber, whole magneto and substantial deposit of old concrete and muck. It took me a lot of time to remove this mess. I overhauled it and painted it again - now looks much better and runs perfectly but unfortunately it misses the noble patina...

  • Loveley D type and excelent video!

I think it looks and sounds great, engines in good original condition have such charachter.
