  • i think you should ask the guy to ive u a variation on the drive, this is because i only seen u play the cover drive and i suspect u might not be to strong on the other drives.

  • it depends on the line of the ball. They are all a similar lineso they are all hit through the cover region. The ones that are slightly sraighter are hit slightly straighter. I dont tend to hit the ball sqaure or behind on the front foot alot, but i hit straight alright.

  • bowling machine?? i think

  • na, it's just really slow easy throw downs

  • I mean, with the slow er bowlers, this is fine. But against good pace, what i said might just be more effective..

Does the dimple ball not damage the bat? Pardon me for my ignorance on that aspect

  • The forward press is especially useful with spin, i use a much bigger press with slower bowlers becuase it helps me move around the crease. The dimple balls are probably about the same as the new ball, but the new ball seam can leave marks. I've never damaged a bat against them.

  • i dont think it really matters if his back-foot doesn't move to much. look at sehwag. he stays on side which means he can hit balls that are on off stump through the covers and cover point. that being said, sehwag has a brilliant eye which means his foot-work doesn't need to be as sharp. it would be better if your back-foot came across slightly, because then it would open up the leg-side a lot more. otherwise, i like your technique. your cut shot reminds of a right-handed justin langer.

  • Is this at Shaun Brown cricket coaching ?

  • Your front foot movement seems positive and confident however on the back foot you seem pretty anchored. You are hitting them well, just not much movement on most of the shots. Good luck with your cricket.

  • I'd feel pretty cramped in those nets to be honest, lol.

I think everything you need to improve on has been already posted, but when you are on the back foot, keep ensuring that your back toe is pointing out towards point, this keeps the body open and stops you from squaring yourself up.

  • on your drives your leaning over to your right, you are doing this because you know where guy is going to throw the ball. in a match you wouldnt know if he was gunna bowl a half volley on off stump.
