just a video of my old xbox powering up.

mods:
multi-bios TSOP flash with toggle switch, evox dashboard with custom skin, large harddrive, IDE activity LEDs, IDE activity wheel, LEDs in controller ports, custom power LEDs, built in LCD scree with toggle switch (in case you want to use the HD cable instad of the regular A/V kit.), fan mod, added heat sink to MCPX chip, lots of stickers.. also has linux somewhere in there.

it indicates HDD activity: every time the HDD clicks, the lego gear turns one click.

Funny! I thought that maybe the ring of light could be used as an "indicator led", like orange for network, green for dvd drive, and red for hard drive activity, but I've never seen it done before.

yeah, that's easy to do - re-route some wires, use multi-color LEDs or just cram a bunch of LEDs into the ring area, but I don't like my indicators to be combined.

plus, it's so easy to do, where's the fun in that?

but it's all good... as long as it's not stock I guess. :-)

thank you for replying back to my question. i do appreciate that. well to answer your question i have an xbox that is was working good. i hardly used it, it's modded. but is not turning on. i borrowed another power cord and still is not working. i would like to have some lights the way you have then on top and also on the controller outlets. if you think you can do something with this please let me know. i do appreciate your time and help.

Yeah. I thought It would be a software solution, like you can already choose the ring of light color in the xBox Media Center.
