BBC Asia Business Report Nov 25
China is set to revise its patent laws to meet world trade standards.
Commercial piracy costs foreign companies 16$bn every year. China pleged to combat the problem when it joined the WTO a few years ago. But skeptics say China may find it tough to enforce its laws to meet international standards.
Simon Littlewood, President of Asia Now quotes,
The issue in China is not the absence of legislation, its the will to enforce it.
