Messing around with my recently acquired 1974 Hammond B3 and 122.

It needed a good dusting, but sounds great!

  • They say what is one man's trash is another man's treasure. For those who enjoy the Hammond B3, this is a real goldmine. But what is even more valuable is what you can create with it.

And your accompanist seated next to you is particularly precious. A real jewel. How old is she? Has she demonstrated any musical ability yet?

  • @crossharpchronicles Thanks! She's almost 2. She loves music. Anytime I sit at the organ or piano, she stops whatever she's doing and runs over. :)

  • Great to see your daughter having fun at the organ! Looking forward to see you all! :-)

  • Awww, how sweet!! Somebody loves to sit with her daddy while he plays!

  • i thought hammond stoped maqking B3s in 73

  • It allways pains me to see good instruments going to waste. A friend of mine got a free upright piano once froom someone, I would love to be so lucky as i myself have not the space for a real piano at the moment so i'm working with the smaller and somwhat less functional Yamaha PSR-E403 which fits my needs for venting musically in times of stress but could be netter

  • Another B3 saved!

  • it's amazing how many gems there are out there for the finding. my first B3 was a B3/22H combo that was in a local paper's classified section. husband had died; widow didn't play; no clue what to ask. $1800 for everything. absolutely off the showroom floor. but what a deal you got! how can someone just 'throw it away?' i guess they don't know. and so many people really don't...

  • you lucky!!!!

for the hammond and for the spectacular baby too!

    thanks for sharing
