  • The music has never been the same, the 80s and early 90s were a golden age for hip-hop. Before the rest of the world hijacked it, the music was so real, the essence of NYC. Scott La Rock was murdered right outside of the projects where I grew up--Highbridge Gardens on University Ave. in the BX. I was just a young kid when BDP and PE were on top, but it makes me nostalgic. If you ask these kids where hip-hop is from these days they'll tell ya ATL!!!! damn shame
