Using Hitler for comedy almost never works, but this is clearly the exception

I am a fellow SC alum (class of 03!) and I wish I could say I was surprised by all of this.

The video is very well done and actually pretty funny. And kudos for finding the clip from "Downfall", that's an obscure but great movie.
However, from what I remember about Mr. Pollit this is obviously an unfair representation and extremely cruel shot at a man I remember being a great teacher and principal and from all I can assume a pretty good administrator as well.
When placed between a rock and a hard place sometimes the decisions are tough and wildly unpopular.
Clever video still.

The makers of this video agree, Mr. Pollitt is, as we say in the description, clearly not actually Hitler. This video was meant to be more of a satire of the situation than an attack on Mr. Pollitt. While his quote about evolution was clearly ill-chosen, and we personally disagree with his decision to ban the t-shirts prematurely, we do understand that it was a tough decision, and merely regret that we come from a town in which a scandal such as this could arise at all.

Furthermore, whenever a situation goes viral as this one did, someone has to make a video of it, and we figured that it might as well be us. Thanks for your appreciation of the video.
