Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEShk3a4epo

"The journey to the afterlife is a perilous one.

Stretching for eternity between Heaven and Hell lies the Endless Stair. Constructed over aeons in time immemorial, the staircase delivers the souls of the dead to their final judgement. A mishmash of millions of makers over millions of years, this path has become the center of the universe, stretching from the far celestial heights above to the infernal realms below, and all worlds in between.

It is somewhere in between these worlds that we come to the Endless Stair. With a barren wasteland before us and the staircase stretching to infinity into the heavens, a stooped figure slowly clambers upwards and sets foot on the dusty, rocky steps'.

A Tale from the Endless Stair is a stop motion animation which I filmed in my front room. I constructed the blue demon puppet and sets myself, the soldiers were action figures I bought off ebay.

The whole thing was filmed over a period of about 4 months with very little budget.

  • Bit gory, but I really enjoyed watching this rather dark, short film. I like your "just go for it" style.

Although I use Maya and Blender for computer animation, I've always had an eye for Stop motion and short films with an interesting story.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks very much - I have to admit animation isn't really my thing, however I love films and I love model making so it's a good way of combining those two interests.

I've always been into creating practical models so I've never really had a go at Maya or Blender. Thanks for the comment!
