@Ricky9938 the scottish are not irish .... the scottish are caladonian picts norse anglo saxon .... the lowlands of scotland were inhabited by anglo saxons edinburgh is named after an angle king ..... the reivers were also anglo saxon .... and before you jump down my throat just look it up first .... why do you irish catholics always try to jump onto other nations achievments ... its sad

@vladpros2000 Yep, 80% of the taxes collected by the US government came from the south, Georgia threatened secession years before, Andrew Jackson told them, do it, I'll come down and hang you all, they backed down. Andrew's term the taxes were lowered, and when he left office, they immediately started to rise.

One of the greatest victories of Confederate Irish was Captain Richard W. Dowling, with 43 men armed with rifles and 6 small cannons defended Sabine Pass, Texas, in 1863 and defended against a Federal fleet trying to land 15,000 men. Dowling sank one gunboat, captured two others, and turned away the rest of the fleet. He took 400 prisoners and didn't take any losses. All the men got silver medals from Jefferson Davis.
