@KradianDiet Pop is short for popular. They were popular. Kurt Cobain said himself he wanted Nevermind to have a more poppy sound. Don't get me wrong I love them.

@fricalke you know him like me-not at all!but his friends said all:he wasn´t suicidal by the timeof of his death(maybe once be4).no one of his friends, even his lawyer( at this time Frances Bean godmother, said Kurt wasn´t suicidal or depressed. hear it on telephone calls between Tom Grant&Roswmary Caroll - the lawyer)&Kurt by himself, wanted the lp"in utero" 1st calling"i hate myself&iwanna die"(he had a great black humor&was sarcastic),but he changed, cause he knew, people would undastand it wrong

@Kerbesk I didn't mean he hated the songs, he was just upset with how the mixer tweaked the songs. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've read that Krist and Kurt were even upset by how the final mixings of In Utero ended up as well, and it's quite obvious that In Utero is a much... "dirtier" sounding album, for lack of a better term. I've also read that Drain You, along with Aneurysm, were his favorite songs to perform. You've made good points so I guess I'll just agree to disagree from here. :p
im sorry.....but nirvana is not very pop.......have they listened to this band?

It's pretty obvious many of those "it's grunge, not pop!" people are people who are under 18 (which means they weren't alive when Kurt was, let alone listening to 90s music when it was current) Remember that pop music is short for POPULAR! Yeah, it's often associated with bubble gum peppy music, but bottom line, pop's POPULAR. EVERYONE listened to Nirvana! White/black/older people (my dad did too!). He redefined what could be seen as cool and popular. Trust me, I was actually there!
