Carlos Santana: Album: Blues for Salvador

Blues for Salvador is a 1987 album by Carlos Santana, dedicated to his son, Salvador and daughter, Stella. The record was released by Carlos Santana as a solo project,not with the Santana band. It won the 1987 Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. His first ever Grammy and among Carlos's favorite recordings.

@yogimanco I agree, there is something unique about this song. He did touch something ethereal here. I met Carlos's sound man the other day in an ariport. We had a great conversation about Carlos and the different singers that he, the sound man, works with. He said he had to basically talk some of them into realizing it is about Carlos's guitar. Carlos SINGS with his guitar and in some respects a singer is not that important.
