TLC for Children and Families Inc was founded by the Johnson County Young Matrons in 1972 to meet an urgent need for emergency housing for young children in the community.
In 2008, TLC touched the lives of over 18,000 children and youth, ages infant through 18, of all socio-economic, religious, ethnic and racial backgrounds. Over 3,000 of these children and youth were provided shelter or intensive intervention services, while another 15,000 youth were reached through educational activities and community outreach.
Those who depend on us each year include abused and neglected children and youth, children in need of foster care, homeless teenagers, juvenile offenders, truant and runaway youth and families facing domestic violence.

Everyone should adopt and/or foster.
