Apple TV 2 With XBMC

Just going through some of the features I do and don't like about the Apple TV 2, XBMC, and sneaking in a little IceFilms XBMC plugin.

How did you get xbmc to work on atv2??

@dalli83 Once you install ATV Flash Black, if you fire up the ATV2 and scroll over to Maintenance and install it from that window. It's really simple, don't go through the SSH How-To's, they're doable, but this way is much easier.

Thank you, seagullcanfly, I appreciate your correction, I was completely unaware this was the case. But yes, it's possible. There is however a downside or two you should be wary of. There is no fast forward (at least not like the traditional Netflix) and it seems as though once paused, the longer movies (and towards the end of television shows) it becomes choppy to the point it's unplayable. Disappointing really.

@beinstine You could. I suppose you could also use a DVD player, or an Xbox, or dump your television in a pit of lava too.

You know the 45 seconds isn't really about buffering.. It's an inherent time limit for people without accounts on Megaupload. If you create a free account, you can cut that time limit to 25 seconds, just don't know what would be involved with entering in those details on an atv2. Thanks though, for the video, was looking precisely to see if it would happen on the atv2 at all.
