The genius of the fashion industry, the late Scottish Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home a few years ago, as he killed himself after the death of his mother. He was overcome with grief. I loved the hologram he made of Kate Moss & the chess piece set where models posed as chess pieces on a board. His death is a major loss to the fashion world, he had great vision & unique creativity & was unafraid to experiment with his artistic & creative ideas.

@Riceqween01 i agree with you,but not in the part when you say that models are coat hangers and nothing more.The look of the model is part of the show and the presentation.and is reaally important.I study fashion and we are taking they are taking the shit out of us untill we find the right person to model

Shut up you ignorant idiot. What designers want to do is show the clothes, not the models. If McQueen used curvy models, it would of taken attention away from what he was trying to showcase, his art. Models are pretty coat hangers, nothing more. And homophobic comments do nothing to help your case either, it just makes you look more ignorant.

its because you dont think about it.
in general,fahsion isnt just about pretty clothes. there are many designers who express themseves on clothes the same way painter does on canves. it can be political,social, artistic,psychological,illogical,you name it. every collection has a story behind it,its just that people like mcqueen have a strong and influential story,different perpective. they dont make clothes but statements. thats why its wrong to say fashion is shallow.
