A FREE CHART is available at www.NetWelding.com that provides suggested MIG Welding Gas Flow Rates. Setting the proper MIG Welding shielding gas flow rate is very important to obtain quality welds. It is just as important not to set excess flow rates than to have sufficient gas flow. In fact there are many more folks setting excessive flow rates that just pulls air into the shielding stream and causes porosity and poor weld quality. . It also defines the maximum flow before excess Turbulence is created. That maximum flow rate is not much higher than the desired flow settings!
Some confuse gas flow measured in cubic feet per hour with setting gas pressure as in oxyfuel welding. There is a big difference and the video describes why flow not pressure is used in MIG Welding.
