they almost did,all the drug crops under their controll was destroyed because they didnt plant in 2000. in 2001 there was no opium other then the northern aliances crops. september(the month we invaded) is the month before the planting season. had 9/11 NOT happened for another year there would be almost no heroin. remember wallstreet launders the drug money. it was by far the biggest attack the taliban could do to america.

@cancanbiker: Well, the thing is, to smuggle drugs, you don't necessarily need to grow them yourself. And besides, wasn't the Taliban a CIA creation, anyway{just like Al-Qaeda}?

i never said taliban did 9/11 . i never said you had to grow drugs to smuggle them either. the taliban was NOT a creating of the cia. the cia made it possible for them to evovle to what it did,but the americans did not create extreme islam .....

I always figured since the story about "Freeway" Ricky Ross and the CIA connection broke, that people at the CIA knew that no one would believe something SO outrageous. The story IS so outrageous that no one DID believe it.

That, unfortunately is how the CIA got away with it...
