Blockade of Safer by European Young Peasants

Although the camp was officially over on the Sunday afternoon, a group of about 80
people decided to continue on to Montpellier the next day to form a blockade against
La Safer, a French institution that is in charge of land redistribution in France. The
blockade was heavily watched by the local and national police as well as attracting
the attention of the media. The action was successful: there was no violence, the
regional director deemed it important enough to warrant his presence, the police kept
