Guthrie Govan - Fives (cover by Fayeed Tan)

After work (plus overtime) I went to the music room and decided to make a new video, Guthrie Govan's Fives. What the hell was I thinking!?!? oh well you can see in my face that I'm really tired plus my playing is sloppy but I enjoyed making the vid anyway.. This is my 8th take so I guess this will do

Gear used: Fender Twin Reverb, Xotic BB Preamp, 6dayoldstring F.T. Custom delay, Dame Guitars Saint M270 (I just bought it and it's great!), a little Amp drive and a lot of Amp Reverb!

@wegaengine1 Thanks! but I'm just a speck compared to the real great pinoy guitar players.. Please research on these guys; Jack Rufo, Jeff de Castro, Perf de Castro, Mike Elgar, Booths Oca, Noel Mendez, Jun Lopito, Mico Ong, Fidel de Jesus.. actually that's just a few, there's too many to mention, maraming ASS kicking pinoy guitar players in youtube just look for them : )

@Fayeedtan I've heard about perf, lopito, elgar, and mico ong(i bought my dd-7 from boss mico. lol.). Pero kasi iba impact sakin pag guthrie ung cover eh.. hahaha. Linis ng sifra mo. Request naman. Slideyboy naman by guthrie din. HAhaha.

@Fayeedtan one question bro, did you memorize this song by ear? I listen to this every, and I mean THIS Particular Guthrie song and I just can't do it. >.<

@wegaengine1 yes I did, that's why I improvised in the solo part 'coz guthrie's solo part in this song is just too damn hard : )

@Fayeedtan I can't even get the semi-shred in the intro. DAAAAAAMMNNN!! Kelan ko ba makukuha to? Nakinig na lang ako sa isa sa linya ni guthrie eh. "If you're struggling to play something fast, it means you're not ready to play it fast". hahah. I've been playing guitar for a very long time pero kelan lang ako naging aware sa gantong klase ng music. Gano katagal kaya ang aabutin bago maging katulad nyio ung skill ko? hahaha. Grabe. You're one of my inspirations na sa guitar Mr. Tan. :)
