Martin Jennings 21st Memorial Run September 14th 2008

The Martin Jennings Memorial Run. Martin lost his life on the Isle Of Man Manx Grand Prix in 1987. A year later the memorial run started, with around 40 bikes. The run is held in aid of local charities, to raise money for such worth while causes. This year, just like last well over a 1000 bikes took part. Martin was a fantastic guy who I was proud to know and whom I worked for, back in 1983 when I was 16 years of age. I know Martin will be looking down from the great race track in the sky :-) and will be so proud of each and everyone of you guys who took part. This must continue every year, in 4 years time, on the 25th memorial run, I would love to see 25,000 bikers taking part. Nothing is impossible, that would be a awesome event. Special thanks must however go to the Devon and Cornwall Police, who also a awesome bunch of guys by participating to ensure that this event goes without accident or any mishap.

It was awesome watching it again, also a little emotional, I worked for Martin when I was 16, back in 1983. I would love to be a part of this one year, but I no longer ride bikes.

The run will be on Sunday 11th September, 2011 assembling at Garras Wharf, Truro, 9.00am for 10.00am start. (weather permitting).

Entry fees will be £3 solo and £5 with pillion.
