This formatable looking bug I filmed on my front porch. Research tells me it's an Assassin Bug.

  • nope prob, interesting bug

  • @squito94 I've actually found quite a number during the daytime. On summer mornings, I often find them clinging to my window screen. I think when they bite people at night, it is because their houses aren't sealed very well so they come inside.

  • @undeadpresident It sounds like your targeting the right ones so nevermind. They transmit chagas when they're done feeding and defecate on the bite site. The flagellate protozoan that causes chagas are present in their feces and enter through the wound. Your most likely to encounter one at night since they wait till you fall asleep and then feed. I'm glad I don't have to deal with that pest.

  • @squito94 The ones I've caught are aggressive, suck blood, and shit all over the place. So I kill them.
