The reason we can't leave it alone is because this bullshit has so much influence in the world and is honestly quite dangerous. And personally, I feel like religion won't leave me alone.

@wisdomthruknowledge so you're telling me that if most people on the planet believed that magical snot monsters created the universe and were trying to teach your children this in school, and making legislation based on this belief in magical snot monsters, that you would just sit back and not say anything about it? well sir, that sure makes you sound like a fucking immoral idiot.
