UK spying on teenagers' social network activities?

The UK government is blaming gang violence for the riots that took place in August. Now one London council is talking about making youth workers spy on their members to assure they aren't doing anything illegal and to prevent another incident. Anything suspicious will be passed on to an anti-gang unit specialist. Is gang activity to blame for the August riots and will social network spying work?

In the UK regime the governments of the last 30 years have CAUSED more inequality, unemployment, misery, poverty, hate and social divide than the Dickensian era. The rich scum of the land have colluded like a Mafia gang and created an underclass who have no hope or money.

The average wage in the UK is £26,000 while the FTSE 100 bosses get..£3,700,000 yes, that's 3.7 million a year. The youths get nothing and are denied financial help. Its small wonder they rebel against these greedy terrorists.

@happosai27 Have to read between the lines a bit. During the period Hitler reigned it was normal for the children being thaught at school on what they had to do if they were on the streets and that is looking for people doing stuff they shouldnt. Little kids love to tell on people don't they?

They're part of what feeds the machine that is increasing Governance over the populace. Well thats nice, I am a teenager, I have a small job and I am attending college and yet I am going to have to suffer because I am a teenager so I guess that means it is all our fault this country collapsed, no matter how hard we work the goverment has to blame someone right?

I agree with topdoginuk, I have never stolen or rioted in my life but look at the wages in the UK, we have no help and hardly any jobs going.

Money is the route to all evil. Money buys power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. These and many more are all sayings we grew up with. Actually they were warnings that the majority of people didn't take seriously or act on to stop the transfer upwards. All the wealth and power is now all but consolidated amongst the few most greediest evil power mongers in the world who would act like gods and treat us like vermin under their feet.
