I am a sucker for video game music, so I decided to start a series of videos about VGMs. This particular series celebrates music that brings about feelings of sorrow and sadness. Thats right, as according to the title, we will be focusing on Sad songs. My videos will focus on Zelda, Mario, Phoenix Wright, and the Tales series.

Into The Dusk: 0:04-3:25

It was November 29, 2010. After successfully completing a mission to escort Osean infantry across the desert, Blaze and the rest of the Wardog Squadron return to the Osean mainland as heroes. They have done the impossible: Outmaneuver Aces, aided in invading Yuktobania, and destroyed not one, but TWO submarine aircraft carriers. In order to commemorate their achievements in the battlefield, the Wardog Squadron was given the honor of flying over the November City Stadium. This was supposed to be a momentous occasion, but mysterious forces were in the play here as November City was attacked by a combination of Yuktobanian Fighters and Bombers.

Wardog, being the only reinforcements available, engaged in combat. Strangely, the SOS sent by November City to the nearby air base was dismissed as a drill, and no reinforcements were sent. Wardog fought alone, halting the attack. But, during the defense, Lieutenant Colonel Alvin Davenport was shot down. With his ejection mechanism malfunctioning, he had no choice but to do a crash landing in the middle of the Stadium. Unfortunately, the landing did not go smooth, and Davenport died protecting a city and its people.

If this synopsis does not summarize this song. I do not know what will.

The next Sad Video Game Music is I Miss You...

"Into The Dusk" was composed by Keiki Kobayashi.

"Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War" and its music is owned by Namco Bandai. All pictures in this video are owned by their respective owners. I reserve no rights to the music, images, or games.
