Americas Army - Wedge

READ THE FALLOWING FOR INFORMATION ON THIS VIDEO:

This was my first America's Army Video

I had already played AA for about 3 years before I even thought about making a video - I made this because other games like Counter-Strike had frag vids and it was part of the culture to show off skills and such but it wasn't very popular in AA - most AA videos at the time were story driven making it seem almost like skill wasn't a factor in this game

When I started playing this map grenade spamming was the major problem in staying alive. I mainly defended the objective by shooting through the boards from the top of the stairs close to my spawn. I killed so many people as they took the objective I gradually made whole servers reluctant to attack the Objective at the start of the round to the point where months later it seemed nobody on any server ever went for the objective early - it was as if myself (and perhaps a few other snipers) totally changed the way the map was played - I also started sniping across the middle of the map from the Left - until again ppl stopped going out in the open to the Other objective

After that I had to adapt and play a more hit and run style of play as grenades became less of a factor the enemy team tried more and more to rush aggressively to take our side of the map - Those are the tactics you see in this video - after I had changed the way I play the map to a more 'on the move' style

Sniping was always my main reason for playing the game - I loved the m24 I still think its the best weapon model of a sniper rifle for any game.

I enjoyed this game so much that its difficult to look to the call of duty series or anything else as a replacement ......

at present I don't play First Person Shooters anymore

you said it ... AA3 really sucked the life out of the whole AA community if you ask me.

maybe I should make a top ten list of worse video game sequels of all time.. .I'm sure AA3 would be a candidate for the top slot

aah good old times... AA3 lags too much in order for it to be anywhere near playable.. :( It's kinda sad, I loved AAO. But I guess it's really dead now, isn't it?

MAG on ps3 is pretty sick, closest thing to AA style I've seen .... MAG is the first game since AA2 it feels like your on a team.

back when aa2 was released the basic marksman training was really tough to pass let alone qualify for sniper training. It used to be so hard that in some bridge crossing pubs i played in, the server wuld b full and both sniper slots wuld b empty lol. When u sniped in that game enemies feared u. They knew that you were deadly accurate and made them think twice about poking their heads out from behind cover. When u sniped in that game u felt elite. That feeling is lost in todays fps.

I realy miss the good old day with america's army. I just watched this vid again after i was talking about it to someone. AA3 sort of ruind the game :(

@Hurzklamurzk probably looks that way because you had to actually lead targets in this game,,,so running guy the shot had to be further in front,,like realistic type stuff,,lol

@Wedge4Life Don't worry wedge.. I get so much hate form my minimally watched AA sniping vids from other clans. Accusing me of dotting and what not. I've learned to just accept that some people are horrible at the game and don't know what real skill looks like.

I heard people still played AA 2.8.3, is that true?

Is it any AA2 version that people play these days?
