If you look closely you can see its a Su-33 referred to as Flanker-D by NATO. It has canards on its LEREX, but no thrust vectoring. Its just normal low speed handling for a Sukhoi.

Looks like a touch and go to me. US aircraft do this all the time altho not quite so dramatically. This pilot was using some of his thrust vectoring in this. This may have been a no go land but it was safely done. The fire comes out the back. If it comes from any other part of the ship you then know you messed up! Doesn't look like a fail to me.
