@Eleolius cool beans. I'm still trying to get into the habit of reading often. My knowledge is fractal at best but I was just going on what minimal understanding of the word that I have. Had some really eye-opening experiences as of late. it's been what, a month or more since I made that comment and I just realized within the last couple weeks that I really know nothing about what God expects me to do. @InsaneRageMonkey The bible says lots of things about prayer, and good deeds. There -is- a sort of prayer meant for being done in public. It's a fellowship thing. Your motives in praying, whether private or public, are what matters: one can pray just as selfishly and sunfully in private as they can in public. In the end, it's not about -what- you do, it's about why you do it, and whether or not what you did brought glory to god, and spread the good news to more people.

Yes, public prayer is better done in private because of one fact. In the time of Christ, the religious church people did this to gain sympathy and money for their church instead of for the glory of God. This does not apply here. Tell me what Mark 16:15-16 says.
