  • Wow!!! Beautiful. Can I send you $12 and get 10 tracks like that with just a little data on who/what/how for each track? My ear likes!!

  • @jeharmon70 Thanks, but I've got no plans to do any more at present. The "who/what/how", is myself with hacked together midi drums, and of course a superb arrangement by Graham Pinkney. The bass trombone part at the end is faked on a Tenor tbn, I mistakenly returned the Bass tbn before completion.. Duh!

  • you sound too good to play behind canned backing tracks, c'mon. You're doing your own playing a disservice. Come down to NYC and start playing like that at a jam session and you'll get called again. The high register on your bone sounds like a freaking flute, I dunno how you did that and I didn't know it could be done.

  • Hi @pickinstone, Thanks for the positive comments, but I doubt that NYC needs another Tbn player right now!

  • I borrowed a older Yamaha for the recording, am not sure if it was an Eb or D second valve, used the included Vincent Bach 2g M/P though.

  • the bass bone part near the beginning and at 2:20 reminds me of 23 deg North - 82 deg West from Kenton's best of album.

  • @gobucksgo21 Yes, right on the money. I think that Graham Pinkney who wrote the arrangement might be a big Kenton fan..

  • @pickinstone you've obviously never heard of dave steinmeyer. check him out.

  • What Bass Bone are you playing on?

  • Fantastic, Bob, just fantastic! Is that a King 3B you're playing? Incredible tone! I've not heard your performances before. You're on my radar now, however! Great job!
