1968 was my first year in civvy street after demob from the army the year before. Frankly I could tell a horse's head from its ass, but I've heard of Sir Ivor being talked about at work, so, I invested a princely sum of 10 shillings(50p) on the favourite who duly obliged much to my surprise. Bought three pints for my mates and still had enough change for my dinner !!
