  • UPDATE: THE MISSING KEY had it's Australian premiere at the Sydney Film Festival on June 13th, 2011. More film festival screenings are in the pipeline!

  • UPDATE: While the film obviously was not released late 2009, we are on track for late 2010. We watched a rough assembly of the full 30 minutes a few weeks ago, and it looks amazing.

  • To answer some questions about the music in this preview, the song is by the director, Jonathan Nix. The music in the film is composed by Jonathan, Miles Nicholas and Kathryn Brownhill, and performed by them with a number of other very talented musicians. This song was mixed by J.Walker of Machine Translations.

We will be putting up another sneak preview clip from the film sometime soon.

  • 0:36 I spy no face!!

He appears in two scenes in this movie.

  • Can't wait to see the finished product! Was a privilege to see your work in yesterdays lecture

  • Looks absolutely fantastic! What great ideas and concepts are being used here!

  • Thanks!

The song is called Home, and it was written and performed by myself, with Kathryn Brownhill on violin and Cathy Tibrett on Cello. Mixed by J Walker of Machine Translations.

  • Dear Jonathan,

do you need an extra in The Missing Key? I have worked with phonographs and I can get by in Morse. I work through lunch and I come with my own cage. I have established a professional rapport with gondolas and gondola boatpeople.

Please send reply by bike messenger to my house.

  • I can only imagine exactly how long just these bits of trailer must've taken to create (and they're flawless)!!
