@elmontygrande Well said!! We won't see 2 players like this ever again. Both multi-talented and so much fun to watch. I only wish Len Bias hadn't died as that would have kept the Celtics right in the thick of this rivalry and we would have had a few more years of the LA - Boston finals!!

@dramatish The season before Larry Bird was on the Celtics they finished 29-53. In Larry Bird's rookie season they finished 61-21 and that was before the Celtics had Robert Parish and Kevin McHale. I suggest you do an internet search for,,
When The Game Was Ours.

Magic and Bird what great rivals you couldn't make up the story that unfolded between these 2. Both extreme opposites yet through competition developed a life long friendship that transcended past all the ridiculous problems we plague each other with as humans. If only kids today had these guys as role models perhaps we would see different trends. I would be honoured to shake the hand of either man. P.S go the celtics.

magic johnson forever!

Magic is The Man!

This is real basketball, when players would stay loyal to their team and it had nothing to do with money, I bet they'd be disgusted with how the game is today

What do the 3 people say at 5:30? I can't understand the joke, thanks.

@aaron93m True. I'm not denying 1986 Boston as a great team...would have destroyed 96 Chicago. But Jordan was great too when he finally learned how to play with his teammates.
Bird, Jordan, Olajuwon are my three favorites.

@VancouverChokers Yes, but who won the title in '86? That's right! Celtics! Theirs a difference between a real basketball leader who involves the whole team to work hard, and a player that dominates by himself.
I pick Larry Bird over Michael Jordan.

@gummygal404 magic won 5 championships and bird only 3 dumbass..and the player they had around them were equally good idiot
It was a beautifull thing to witness, two true Titans, the reason I loved basketball.
