Minecraft Skywriting!

Now that I figured out my techniques for skywriting in Minecraft, I want to explore it a bit more eventually. It was almost as much fun skywriting as it was building some sort of gigantic castle or something. Hopefully some of you watching this will be inspired to make your own skywriting videos!

I has a question, how did you keep the minecart going at a steady pace like that?

@MetalMario1337 I'm actually making a how-to video right now for skywriting, so you'll soon see me demonstrate it, but the short answer is: 4 powered rails, 24 standard rails, 1 powered rail, 24 standard rails, 1 powered rail, 24 standard rails, etc. Notch tweaked the speeds in the last update so I'm not sure if that pattern is still necessary, but the point is that you make 1 powered rail every 25 blocks of track to maintain speed.

@MrCounterSniper The actual man-hours for that was about seven hours, but the first couple were spent with me arguing with making and configuring my server. Throw in another wasted hour or so falling off and rebuilding my scaffolding, and the actual construction of the letters was probably four to five.

hmm i offer two suggestions for future skywrites-make a rectangle of good size (like pretty big) and if the larges letter is too large and the smallest letter is too small- decrease size of large letters and slightly decrease the size of the box. finish with a minor text size increase, maybe.) it may not make sense but just a thought : )
