There is evidence coming out now that Cramer et al. were in on the (dare I say?) conspiracy. Basically they knew ... they were privy to the inside information (which Cramer basically admits in one of his interviews). I think this was not so much a 'good call' as getting on-board with the program. Easy to look like a savvy investment guru when you know the inside drill. He deserves to be exposed ... and then questioned by WMI lawyers.
Why pay $6 for Washington Mutual when the FDIC had already gifted it to JPMorgan for 1.5 cents on the dollar? At a luncheon in Seattle, JPMC chief Jamie Dimon remarked that [WaMu] was his greatest acquisition; a purchase that will have a positive effect for his company for "a hundred years".
WMI (parent company to WaMu), while in Ch. 11 reorganization, is trading at 97 cents per $ and preferreds are targets for "smart money", as recently reported by TheStreet's own Dan Freed.
I think it's strange how even on a correct call like this, people STILL trash Cramer. I'm not saying he is someone you should follow blindly, but when he makes a good call, you have to give him a tad bit of credit if you squash him on every wrong call.
No, JPMorgan and Chase bought all of Wamu's assets, so later on you will be banking with Chase, whitch is a lot better, it is the second leading banking, the first is Bank of America. You don't need to change your account number, same checking account and savings, just different name.
I for one will miss WAMU. Just today I did a wire transfer for free. They let me out of countless overdraw fees in the past. I guess I will change banks now. Any good banks in Dallas? Maybe Amegy.

Sounds like Cramer knew JPM was going to buy WAMU the next day. hmmm... who told him? WMI attorney's might want to talk to him.

Jim Cramer is scum of the earth. I hope he gets deposed in the WAMU case.

Heeey look cramer was right. Look how much wamu is worth now? $0.00? Yes, turns out cramer is correct and you comment makers are wrong.
