Inspiring Low Income Youth Through Technological Creativity: Programming and Databases
In this class, we gave an introduction to computer programming and databases by exploring the degrees of separation between people. The students designed a database to hold information about people and their interests. Then they added a database table to show who was friends with who. They worked with Visual Basic .NET and SQL server. Red Llama wrote code that created a visualization of the database and how everyone was connected and shared interests.
