The purpose of the judiciary is to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority. Personal rights and freedoms are not subject to majority rule.

This is a very basic principle of our constitution and our country. Savage seems to not understand this. He should try reading the federalist papers.

Even worse, he is clearly a self loathing closeted gay man.

So, it is their choice to be anti-gay or lesbian. You can't brow beat people into accepting a lifestyle. Blacks and hispanics are more religious than whites. There is still a homophobia in those community. People have a right to believe homosexuality is morally wrong, but mistreating someone who is gay or lesbian is not right. I can be respectful to some who has the deep desire to sleep around, but I don't have to embrace it.
