While many are already talking about the notion of a shift in power from West to East, a thought-provoking book by author Martin Jacques called When China rules the world takes this even further by proclaiming that China will not only thrive in the 21st century, but will do so at the expense of the United States.

  • for the better or worse, China will never be another USA, mostly for the better.

  • Make no mistake China is rising. The question is how will the western world preferably the US. react to it? if you ask me the US doesn't like it's tittle as a global military dominance threatened.

  • @VanillaSnow23 he is probably from a non-white pigs country

  • @mailbeh china don't want to be another stupid american fat ass country anyway ;) you stupid yanks can keep policing the world, making wars here and there while the chinese keep investing and doing business with the rest of the world. yankee dogs don't forget your masters are the chinese, they lend you money to build your garbage country.

  • @AhzekAhriman1 Where are you from?

  • There are not enough resources on the planet to fuel this imagined exponential boom -all world economies are in contraction- and culturally China will be a very difficult export as it's not as seductive to the west as Western pop-culture was and still is. China's society is also extremely hierarchical in structurefar more than the West.

  • To be honest I would like to see what an Asian "NWO" has to offer. America and Britain have done a shit job at "governing" the world so at this point in time I'm on China's side.

  • Ten Americans still living in denial.

  • thanks!

  • But despite the negative assessment of Japan here (since 1990), Japanese enjoy much more comfort, safety, and convenience than most Asians anywhere.
