@djphilmore, Don't believe nor take what others say or tell you. We are all individuals in our own ways, regardless of our races. Not all white people are the same, and not all black people are the same. I am black from California as well, and I would be fool to think that all white people are racists. We live in a country that it is possible that a black person will tell you he is not full black, or a light skinned person to tell you he/she is not full hispanic or white. We embrace diversity.

@micljnes I agree especially about apartheid in South Africa but most of Africa had to endure the evil of colonial rule. Sadly many of the African dictators who took over from the colonials proved to be just as corrupt and evil as the Whites. Emperor Boccassa, Idi Amin and Robert Mugabe being classic examples. I do not argue in favor of a racist state I just think it is sad that when White rule ended social oppression, inequality, injustice and economic deprivation did not end as well.

@Nukethelotofthem1 What I would assert is think of the countless brown skin who were murdered or who's female sibblings were raped by many of these animals who hid behind the evil that aphartied was. Additionally if one wants a true representation of public opinion, ask those who have had to endure, social oppression, inequality, injustice, and economic deprivation. There is no security without freedom, and you appear to be putting forward an arguement which overtly condoned a racist state.

@micljnes In a recent visit to Zimbabwe I asked a gas station attendant who was old enough to have lived under white rule if he preferred life under Mugabe or Ian Smith. He replied he longed for the old days when there was security, jobs, enough to eat, health care, an honest police force and justice. He said that under Robert Mugabe all that has gone and he now lives in constant fear.
