Papantonio: Blue Dog Democrats Have Mange

The president is talking with Republicans, but analysts say Obama's bigger problem is not Republicans, but moderate and conservative Democrats -- Blue Dogs -- in swing districts who are at risk in the mid-term elections in November. They are, as a group, running scared after the Massachusetts Senate race and are now more concerned about saving their own jobs than saving the President's 2010 agenda. But what they seem to be forgetting is that the president's agenda is what got him elected. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business's Happy Hour to talk about why the president needs to ignore the Blue Dogs and go full steam ahead with his agenda.

The Democratic party is big tent unlike the republican party and I rather like that. I 2 have been frustrated, called & voiced my frustration with some blue dog dems & other dems in gen. on some issues but the answer isn't less blue dogs, its more progressives.

Just like with monkey groups, it's always the most abusive violent male monkeys that run the show. And these abusive violent male monkeys are never the smartest in the group. That's exactly what we have going on with Republicans. People continue to submit to this minority rather than getting their head ripped off and being cut from the pack. We've reached a dead end. Only a handful of Dems stand up to these abusive weak-minded controllers and the rest just sit around trying to go unnoticed.
