still squashing the bug too...huh! No mention of linear movement til front foot contact, then getting into rotation after. What about hitting into a firm front leg? I've seen a lot of bad teaches...this is just one more!

Swinging down creates backspin, ah? I challenge all of you downward swing plane gurus to read The Science of Hitting by Ted Williams and then go watch some baseball on a DVR equiped cable or satellite box that allows you to slow down and rewind the action. Do that and then come back and tell me that these guys swing down at the ball. It's a garbage theory and 95% of MLB players DO NOT SWING THIS WAY.
