Hi Onevirtuoswomen my name is Hope AKA SexyCaptain love your tutorial but I found it easier if instead of drawing the letters out on the graph paper you go to your computer type the letters in the size you want and then print it out on the graph paper that way you can use different lettering too. I Hope this is helpful.

I'm trying learn how crochet letters on hats and Blankets.I need a big G ,T,B right now but love to have many more letters .Also can you make a video on a Beanie Hat putting Lettering on it as you crochet the hat,I really wan to learn plz help me .this eating at me because I really want to learn and dont know how start ..LOLOL

Hey Marcelle, how would I do this technique in a half dbl or dbl crochet. Would each square be a half dbl or dbl crochet in the pattern and if you're doing this say on the FBB, how would you determine where to put the lettering?

Hey Marcelle, So I tried the lettering, I found that when making a hat I had to do the lettering backwards... Imagine my surprise when my L came our backwards...lol I've tried another hat with the name mary and wilma will post a video or pics soon. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to do this, I think Im hooked on yet another great creation.
