  • First off, thank you for the video. I recently bought the Vandellas anthology w/this song on it. I also bought Martha Reeves autobio. I may have misunderstood, and will have to revisit the book, but did she ever date Berry Gordy?

  • @nutothis1 Thanks for the comment, nutothis1. I'm not sure whether or not Martha actually dated Berry Gordy. I would need to read her bio to get some insight.

  • A smash hit...but your turntable is slow....fo' real

  • Let me correct you, this is in fact how the music originally sounded when it was first released. CD's have speeded up these old recordings. Understandably, if you only heard these songs on CD, then you will think the record is playing too slow, but believe me this is how I heard it on the radio back in the day.

  • Another great mono 45 Bankman58. Keep it coming, I am a big fan of vinyl. I have a good collection myself.

  • Thank you TonyMus2.

  • Thanks for posting this great song..I remember them doing this song in April or May 1963 on bandstand..great memories of that time!!!!

  • Martha & The Vandellas made some of the Best Songs of the 60's.. I had lots of fun dancing to their songs ! Awwwwwwwwww DaFeet can still do those Fast Dance Steps.. ;-)

  • Stop talking.

  • Should have been #1, but thank God the general public did'nt appreciate it, cause everybody that loves this is not the general pack, we're special, oh yeah, dont ever think anything else.

  • @Kevierae WOW! Happy birthday Miss Reeves!...like three months late. What an amazing Woman! Beautiful music!

  • @Kevierae Wow had no idea Martha hit 70 ...Regardless of how old she is I love her to death.I'd pay to see her again.I've seen several Motown Legends the past 40 plus years .Believe it or not she put on the best show of the Motown groups and when I saw her she was in her 60's !!.

  • another moderately-tempoed , classic cha-cha. Amazing that any moderate tempo was a 60's cha-cha.

  • i will say it over and over this is apart of our history this music must be shared with our grandchildren and children i was so out done when i found out the funk brothers didnt get credit for their work until marvins whats going on.then after 14 years and countless hits berry gordy up and moved just leaving them with families to feed.i lost all respect for him.that was real screwed up i dont know how gordy could look people in the face.to hell with gordy!

  • there is nothing like going back in time to the golden days of 45,s nice ,slow, and mellow . ya thats where those goose bumps came from happens everytime i hear a good ole 45,s thanks again my friend

  • You just don't know how you bless my soul with all your posts. I enjoy listening to every record that you've posted thus far in the pitch in which it was actually released and the way it sounded on the radio from the 50's to the early 80's before record producers started reissuing all music in concert pitch A-440. As a musician I came to find out that the pitch of all non-classical music is actually A-415, which is a complete half-step lower than A-440. A-415 is better known as baroque pitch.
